We Are Albaray!

Born from friendship, shared experience, and a desire to do things differently, Albaray began as a conversation between three women who had spent decades working within the fashion industry. We’re Paula, Karen and Kirstie, and we met while working at a high street brand; learning, creating and questioning how fashion could be better.

In 2020, during a moment of global pause, we took that question seriously. What if we could build a brand that balanced style with responsibility? What if we could create clothing women truly need, without compromising the planet?

Albaray launched in 2021 as our answer.

From the very beginning, we set out to design collections that feel effortless, considered and enduring. We believe great style doesn’t have to shout. It should work hard, feel good, and last. That’s why every piece we create is designed with a capsule wardrobe in mind—thoughtfully made to mix, match and move with you through seasons and moments. These are clothes for real life: for work, weekends, and everything in between.

Our design process is brought to life by Karen and her team, who bring each collection to life with a focus on timeless silhouettes, modern details and wearable ease. We’re not driven by trends that come and go; we’re guided by what women reach for again and again. The perfect dress you can style up or down. A well-cut pair of trousers that feel as good as they look. Knitwear that wraps you in comfort without sacrificing shape. These are the foundations of a wardrobe that lasts.

But style is only part of our story.

Responsibility sits at the heart of everything we do.

From day one, we have been committed to making responsible choices at every stage of our process. We carefully select fabrics that are kinder to the environment, including organic cotton, recycled polyester and LENZING ECOVERO viscose, because we believe what goes into our clothes matters just as much as how they look. These materials not only reduce environmental impact but also offer the comfort and quality we expect from every piece.

We know that sustainability is not a destination; it is an ongoing commitment. That is why we focus on responsible sourcing, reducing waste and continually looking for ways to lower our carbon footprint. We produce in considered quantities, avoiding unnecessary excess, and we design with longevity in mind so that our clothes stay in wardrobes, not landfill, for years to come.

Transparency and integrity are central to how we work. We partner with manufacturers who share our values, people who care about their craft, their teams and the impact of what they produce. Many of these relationships have grown into genuine friendships over time. We visit our suppliers, we know their stories and we are proud to work alongside them. Fair wages, safe working conditions and mutual respect are non-negotiable for us.
