I have a rule of thumb when styling a feminine piece like this lace maxi skirt - to off-set it with a masculine piece and contrast textures.
So this is how I’d style lace now - adding the contrast of heavy fabric like suede to the delicacy of the skirt and the masculine shirt style and a loafer to off- set the femininity of the lace skirt.
