FAQs
How do I start a trade-in?
Simply use our trade-in service to select the items you want to trade-in. Post your items to us and once received, we’ll send you a credit to use on a future purchase.
What can I trade-in?
We only accept gently worn and laundered Albaray items with the Albaray brand label as well as garment care labels attached and intact. Only items with both labels attached are eligible for trade-in.
What items don’t you accept?
We accept preloved Albaray items only. All items must have intact care labels.
We do not accept:
- Items with stains, rips, or holes
- Swimwear
If you have damaged Albaray items, you're still welcome to send them back to us. While we can’t offer store credit for damaged pieces, we’ll do our best to repair, repurpose, or recycle them responsibly on your behalf — free of charge.
Do you accept items that are not Albaray?
We only accept official Albaray garments.
What do you do with the product?
All items will be hand checked when received, and if possible, refurbished for resale. Any items that are not resellable will be repurposed or recycled through one of our partners.
What happens if I send my items, but they aren’t accepted?
Items that don’t meet our trade-in criteria will be repurposed or recycled. We will not issue trade-in credit for these items.
Please note: These items cannot be sent back to you.
How much will I receive for my Albaray items?
The credit you receive will be based on the type and condition of your garment. Estimates are provided when registering your items. All items will be reviewed and certified before the credit is issued.
When will I receive my credit?
We aim to process all trade-ins within 5 working days of receiving them. Once we’ve processed your trade-in, your credit will be issued immediately via email.
What can I use my credit on?
Your trade-in credit can only be used in a single transaction on the Albaray website. Credits are valid for 12 months and cannot be used in conjunction with other discounts or offers or used in our stores or concession partners.
The trade-in credit is issued in the format of a voucher code, not a gift card, so no balance can be held. If the item purchased using the voucher code is returned, a new voucher code cannot be issued.
Where do you accept trade-ins from?
Trade-ins are currently only accepted within the UK.
How many items can I trade-in?
A maximum of 5 are permitted per trade-in.
Who pays for postage?
Shipping is free. Once you've registered your items, you’ll receive a free tracked shipping label.
